Hey there Folks, just wanted to make sure you’re all aware of a change that went down today.

For some odd reason, the chat channel “guk.ogr” is hosed.. and as been for over two weeks.  Some of us have even been unable to leave or join the channel at all.  For this reason, we’ve established a NEW in game chat channel..

• Antonia_Bayle.OGR

Seeing how all of our EQ2 DJ’s are now on the AB server, it only made sense.

Are you unsure how to make this change in game?

• Right-Click your chat window
• Select “Chat Options”
• Under “Custom Channels” on the right.. add the channel name “Antonia_Bayle.OGR” (or just “OGR” if you’re on the AB Server)
• Click “Join/Create” and “OK”

If you’re having issues leaving the old “GUK.OGR” channel, and would like to have the NEW channel the same channel number as before.. follow these instructions.

• Open your EverQuest2 Directory using your Windows Explorer.
• Find your UI Settings file.. it should be named something like “Antonia Bayle_Jethal_eq2_uisettings.xml” but with your own server and character name.
• Open this file using Notepad, or any simple text editor.
• Click Edit, Select “Find” and search for “guk.ogr” (or just “ogr” if you’re on the guk server)
• Change this to “antonia_bayle.ogr” (or just “ogr” if you’re on the antonia bayle server)
• Save the file.  Log into game, and you’re done!

There is the command /setchannelnumber # # – but due to the issue crippling the channel, it will not work.
