Sometimes you hear news of massive layoffs just prior to the release of a game, wheras others - you just don’t hear anything.

There is one such individual who would like to discuss their personal accountings of this growing trend.

This individual is a former employee of EA’s Mythic - Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning development team, and wishes to remain annonymous, but would like to speak out about the increasing issue that is happening with not only the company that he worked for, but within many companies in the industry.

The Star Trek Convention was awesome this year!

Once again held at the Las Vegas Hilton, Trekkies from all around the world gathered to see their favorite cast members, their fellow fanatics, and to ogle over rare action figures. Only $90 for the 1980’s ‘Mr.Spock’ figure with the pink skin (due to an accident in the doll factory.)

This year I was lucky enough to witness a panel for Star Trek Online, Cryptic Studio’s in-development MMORPG based on the Trek franchise. Many l33t infos were shared about what they plan to do with the Trek universe. L33t infos which I shall now share with you all:

The Battle of Amon Hen brings a new race (with extra crispy new skills and features) to The Lord of the Rings Online. Players can now unlock the “Fowl-Peoples” of Middle-earth and grow in size by leveling up. By supersizing your chicken, you can crush your foes into 6, 12, or 20 pieces! The Battle of Amon Hen also adds a new epic quest arc, “Crossing the Road,” as well as new housing options where players can visit their local broker to feather their nest, stage a coop, or splurge on a henhouse for their flock.
